In addition to the Club Rules, the Club recommends a Code of Ethics to all members.

To maintain the best possible standards of health and quality of life for their dogs

To breed only from sound stock of good temperament, taking full advantage of the BVA/KC HIP Scoring and Eye Testing schemes.

To take every possible care as to the placement of puppies and only sell puppies and older dogs to homes where there is reasonable expectation of a happy and healthy life, and never knowingly sell to commercial dog wholesalers or retail pet dealers or their agents.  To take back or help re-home any unwanted Labrador that they have bred.

To exercise their dogs in such a way as will not cause offence to others.
